Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your account: your email address and name, through our sign-in provider (Clerk).
• Your startup: the profile you fill in, the pitch deck and data-room files you upload, and the investor updates you write.
• Your outreach: the investors you unlock, the emails we draft and send for you, and the replies to those emails.
• Your startup page: when someone opens your page or deck, the email, name and firm they enter, and which pages they view and for how long. We show this to you.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Usage: pages visited and actions taken in the app, to fix bugs and improve the product (PostHog, Google Analytics).

Your Gmail or Outlook mailbox

When you connect a mailbox, Rounds asks for permission to send email on your behalf and to read the threads it started, so it can send your intros, follow-ups and updates and notice when an investor replies.

• We only read messages in the threads Rounds created with investors. We do not browse the rest of your inbox.
• Access tokens are encrypted at rest. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, and you can revoke access from your Google or Microsoft account.
• Rounds' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train general AI models.

How we use AI

Your deck, profile and investor threads are sent to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to score your deck, match investors and draft your emails. The provider processes this data to answer our requests and does not use it to train its models.

Who we share data with

Only the providers that run the service: Cloudflare (hosting, database, file storage), Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), Google or Microsoft (your connected mailbox), our email-verification provider, and our analytics tools. We never sell your data. Your deck and data room are shown only to the people you allow on your startup page.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. Delete your account or ask us at contact@rounds.vc, and we erase your startup, files, outreach and mailbox tokens within 30 days, except what we must keep for accounting.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to its processing, by writing to contact@rounds.vc. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
